GROUP INSURANCE:
Harry C. Crooker & Sons, Inc. generally offers health, and life insurance through Great West Life, and Short-term Disability Insurance through the Standard Insurance Company to all employees who fulfill a 6 month waiting period. The group insurance program is described in detail in a separate booklet that is provided upon enrollment.
The cost of the medical plan is set yearly and is subject to change at renewal with our insurance carrier. Employee contributions for the medical plan are payroll deducted weekly. If there are any questions concerning your eligibility to the plan or the benefits to which you are entitled, please do not hesitate to contact Samantha Belanger in the office.
PENSION PLAN
The Company offers a Pension Plan consisting of two parts. The profit sharing component is an annual discretionary contribution made by the Company and shared by all active Plan participants. The 401(k) component is a weekly pre-tax salary deferral with a 50% match on the first 4% of salary deferred. The waiting period for the Pension Plan is 1 year, 1000 hours of service and you must be at least 21 years of age. The Plan has a 7 year vesting schedule on Company contributions and match money.
Each employee selects his or her own investment choices through Massachusetts Financial Services (MFS). The funds are invested in the employee's own account, and employees receive a quarterly statement. Investment professionals are on hand at periodic enrollment meetings to answer questions, and prospectus materials are handed out at that time. Please contact Carl Graffam for more details.
