Harry C. Crooker and Sons, Inc. was contracted to reconstruct/reclaim/overlay four different roads in the town of Harpswell. Work included roughly 5000lf of ditching, 11,300lf of reclaiming, 445lf of 12” culvert, 264lf of 15” culvert, 290lf of 18” culvert, 2900 ton of 19.0mm base pavement, 2600 ton of 12.5mm and 575 ton of 9.5mm for shim and incidentals. Crooker did full depth reconstruction for 2700lf of Shore Acres Road, while the rest of the project was reclaiming, graveling, fine‐grading, ditching and drainage improvements.
Crooker worked with the Town of Harpswell and Gorrill‐Palmer Engineering to field engineer many items, including additional culverts, additional surface gravel, tree removal, additional ledge removal and improved ditching efforts.
